Absolutely, we are! Student Seats was founded in Alabama by two alumni of the University of Alabama in 2020. We're partnered with Trustap, a reliable escrow transaction system, to offer a safe and secure marketplace for college students to transfer their student tickets without any worries. Our initiative has been recognized and featured in student newspapers at universities including Alabama, Michigan, and Wisconsin, affirming our legitimacy and dedication to facilitating a safe space for ticket transfers.

Welcome to Student Seats! Upon registration, we initiate a basic Trustap account for you, paving the way for secure transactions. If you're planning to sell, head over to the 'Selling History' tab in the 'My Tickets' section to upgrade your Trustap account, enabling you to add your bank details and receive funds seamlessly. Buyers, rest easy knowing your basic Trustap account has got you covered, no further registration required!
Think of escrow as your transaction guardian, always on duty to ensure a safe and secure exchange. When you make a payment through escrow, your funds are held in a secure account, where they stay until you have received your purchase and given the green light. This system safeguards against scams, providing a safety net that ensures both buyers and sellers uphold their end of the bargain. It's our way of fostering a trustworthy and reliable marketplace, where you can trade with peace of mind, free from the worries of scams and frauds.
Begin by logging into your student portal via your school's .edu website. Once there, locate the ticket transfer portal, find the ticket you're selling and click 'Transfer'. Next, you’ll enter the email/phone number of the student buying your ticket and click 'Send'. Great, the first part is done! Now, head back to Student Seats and click 'I Sent My Ticket' to update the status and keep the transaction moving smoothly.
No, tickets are owned by other students and must be transferred through your school's student portal on their edu website. This is why protected escrow transactions are needed!
Most schools allow for non students to sit in the student section by either purchasing another student ticket from someone else or after paying an additional upgrade fee.
If your school allows non students to sit in the student section, your parents will be allowed to sit with you.
Register for an account on Student Seats. You will be automatically assigned to your school based on your student email. From the Home page, click on your school's logo. Pick the game you wish to buy your tickets for and find a listing. Click Buy Now and pay for the ticket in our secure payment portal. The seller will receive a notification telling them to transfer their ticket. Simply await the transfer. When it arrives, accept it. If there is an issue with the ticket, please submit a complaint on the My Tickets > Buying History page.
No, Student Seats does not allow students to buy or sell tickets on another school's page.
Buyers can remind their sellers to send the ticket on the My Tickets page under Your Active Purchases. If they are still taking too long (usually over 24 hours), go to the Contact page located on the navigation bar and fill out the contact form. We will email you personally and investigate the issue.
Please go to your profile and open your transaction history. If the 24 hour complaint period has not expired, please fill out a complaint and we will investigate the incident.
Register for an account on Student Seats. You will be automatically assigned to your school based on your student email. From the Home page, click on your school's logo. Pick the game you wish to sell your tickets for and enter the appropriate information into the Create Post box. Your ticket will be listed and visible to any other student at your school. A buyer will select your ticket and pay for it. Then, you will login to your school's .edu website, transfer your student ticket to them, and confirm the transfer on Student Seats. After a 24 hour complaint period, your money will be automatically deposited to your bank account!
Assuming there are no buyer complaints, your money will be released after confirming the transfer on your profile. Sellers ususally receive funds within 72 hours.
Go to the Contact page located on the navigation bar and fill out the contact form. We will email you personally and investigate the issue.
Sellers have the ability to remind buyers to accept the transfer. You can do this by going to My Tickets > Your Active Listings, checking your Active Listings and clicking "Remind Buyer". If you want to cancel the transaction, firstly, cancel your transfer on your school's edu ticket transfer portal. Then, go to your Transaction and click Cancel Transaction.
This means the buyer does not have enough class credit hours to be eligible to receive a ticket, or, they already have a ticket for the game. You should cancel the transaction and let us know so the buyer can be made aware.
