General FAQ

Paypal believed that our business was against their terms and conditons. Paypal subsequently banned us from using their services and, since Venmo is a subsidiary of Paypal, we have also parted ways with our integration with Venmo payouts as well. (Don't worry, Trustap is better!)

Trustap is a verfied Stripe partner that provides a secure transaction platform that protects customers from scams and allows us to facilitate escrow transactions. They also provide their own 24/7 customer support for any issues dealing with transactions. Of course, as always, we will also be here to provide our own customer support when needed!

An escrow transaction is when a third party will protect your money until you receive your purchase. It is practically an insurance service. In this case, we will safe guard your money until you receive your football ticket freeing both parties from any potential scams or nefarious activities. (We got you!)

No. The tickets are owned by the sellers who are other students. They must transfer the ticket to you through your school's ticket system!

Technically, yes. Those postings will be marked with a large "Upgraded" tag. Many sellers choose not to do this as it costs money to upgrade a ticket. As an alternative, you can buy a ticket off of Student Seats, upgrade that ticket (which will free up the ticket on your account), and then buy another ticket for yourself.

Buyer FAQ

Buyers can remind their sellers to send the ticket in their Active Transactions portal. If they are still taking too long (usually over 24 hours), go to the Contact page located on the navigation bar and fill out the contact form. We will email you personally and investigate the problem.

Please go to your profile and open your transaction history. If the complaint period has not expired, please fill out a complaint. We will investigate the incident.

Seller FAQ

Assuming there are no buyer complaints, your money will be released (usually within 48 hours) after confirming the transfer on your profile.

  1. Await payment from the buyer.
  2. Send your ticket to the buyer through your school's ticket transfer portal.
  3. Click 'I Sent My Ticket' on the My Transfers page on Student Seats.
  4. Wait for the buyer to accept the ticket transfer.
  5. Go to your profile and enter the confirmation number that is located in the Act Card email.
  6. Make sure that you have added your bank account information to your Trustap account.
  7. After the buyer accepts the transfer, click 'Confirm Transfer' on the My Transfers page on Student Seats.
  8. Once successful, a 24 hour complaint period will start for the buyer. If there are no complaints, your money will be released automatically to your bank account at the end of the 24 hours.

Sellers have the ability to remind buyers to accept the transfer. You can do this by going to My Transfers, checking your Active Listings and clicking "Remind Buyer". If you want to cancel the transaction, firstly, cancel your ticket transfer through your school's ticket transfer portal. If you want to cancel the transaction, firstly, cancel your transfer on your school's ticket system. Then, go to your Transaction and click Cancel Transaction.

This means the buyer does not have enough class credit hours to be eligible to receive a ticket, or, they already have a ticket for the game. You should cancel the transaction and let us know so the buyer can be made aware.

Student Seats charges 3.00% + $6.00 per transaction for using our site to ensure your money is not stolen.
Trustap charges 4.40% + $0.40 per transaction.
